The work showcased at the LG Business Solutions booth at ISE 2024 is a large-scale kinetic media art piece, measuring over 3.6 meters wide and 6.2 meters tall, with a total of 336 LED panels installed. Based on the concept of "Be Moved by Attractive Movements," all elements were orchestrated to create a captivating and cohesive motion. Particularly, the seamless integration of kinetic LED display movements and the movements of objects within the video maximized visual effects. Additionally, various graphic design elements and motions symbolically encapsulated LG's technological prowess and brand values. Through this, it provided a multidimensional experience for numerous attendees.

The works of disabled artists Kwon Hansol and Park Hyeshin were expressed through media art. Using the exhibition space as a medium, we aimed to present the beauty of the special yet ordinary daily life depicted by the two artists directly to the audience. By exhibiting the stories and forms inherent in each work, we planned to facilitate non-verbal communication between the audience and the artists through the artworks.

The National Museum of Asian Art's multifaceted exhibition hall presents integrated contents. Asian modern art paintings are depicted as dynamic media art content. With a focus on the media art portrayal of Korean modern art from the Enlightenment period, various integrated contents such as lighting installations, interactive experience zones, and an AI photo zone were created.

I was responsible for the entire project, from its composition to artwork selection, planning, and overall production. I reinterpreted the intentions of the artists and the meanings inherent in the artworks in a contemporary context. Additionally, the exhibition space was designed with irregular multi-faceted wall forms, and mirrors were arranged at various angles to create diverse reflections on the walls. Multiple 3D simulations were conducted to produce suitable video projections for the unique shape of the exhibition space.

This project presents a media artwork to the public through a large-scale digital signage installed on the exterior wall of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, located in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul. As a civic space rich in symbolic meaning, Gwanghwamun Square represents Korean history and remains a site where the past, present, and future intersect. The Kinetic reflects this locational significance by visualizing the dynamic moment when traditional and futuristic aesthetics converge, using mechanical modules inspired by traditional Korean colors and materials.

A hanging kinetic artwork installed in the Korea Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020. Forty LED displays connected by wires tilt in various directions to form shapes. It consists of three main contents: "Diversity of Korea," "Beauty of Korea," and "Interaction Content." Each content is not only designed with a story and visual design but also symbolically planned with the design of kinetic movements. The "Diversity of Korea" content emphasizes the diverse inclinations and sculptural silhouettes of the kinetic modules. It also showcases a production where video and kinetic module movements are organically integrated. The "Beauty of Korea" content highlights the visual effects of height and depth and emphasizes the beauty of kinetic movements that move gracefully, leveraging the characteristics of hanging kinetic art. Lastly, the "Interaction Content" literally serves as an interactive content where attendees can upload their faces through their smartphones, which are then displayed on the LED displays. This content entertains attendees with kinetic movements that seem to greet each other as they face each other in the displayed photos.

“Home” is a short-form media art project that explores the harsh housing realities of young people in South Korea—particularly those living in goshiwon, extremely confined rooms measuring just a few square meters. The work visualizes how restricted physical space leads to the compression of the body, which in turn constrains the mind, ultimately limiting the future possibilities of an entire generation.

Each night, God rolls the dice, setting each person’s fortune fo the day. Some find good luck, others face misfortune, and by mere chance, some become caught in a string of unlucky days. Yet we continue on, moving within a vast, unchanging law. And tonight, God rolls the dice once more.
