Form of Extraction begins with five years of purchase records reclaimed from an e-commerce platform. Through the materialisation of personal purchasing data into generative digital sculptures, it traces a self that has been extracted, separated, and replicated within digital systems. Expanded through projection mapping and sound, the work transforms data into a new sculptural presence, revealing the gap between the self constructed by digital systems and the self remembered through lived experience. It questions the extent to which data can embody human identity and become a new form of portraiture in the digital age.
